Common Inground Vinyl Swimming Pool Kit Coping Questions

Answers to common coping questions for inground vinyl swimming pool kits.

What type of coping is available with your inground swimming pool kits?

Available coping options include bullnose coping, cantilever coping for brick or stone, and cantilever coping with foam forms for concrete.

What type of coping is the most popular?

Bullnose coping is the most popular coping option.

Will I need to cut the coping to fit my pool?

Yes. Both bullnose coping and cantilever flat track coping may require some cutting for a proper fit.

This can typically be done with a jigsaw, hacksaw, or compound miter saw with a metal-cutting blade.

Some of my coping clips keep coming off. How do I fix this?

Make sure the joint where the coping meets is even before pouring the deck.

If the deck has already been poured and the clips are still coming off, you can bend the coping clip slightly into a tighter radius. If the clips continue to pop off, apply a small amount of clear silicone to the inside of the coping clip and reinstall it.

I have cantilever coping. Do I need coping clips?

No. Cantilever coping does not require coping clips.
