How Do I Change the Circuit Board in My Heatwave Sauna?

Disconnect the sauna from its power supply before you start. The full step-by-step procedure is on our blog.

Before you begin

  • Disconnect the sauna from its power supply. Switch off the breaker or unplug the unit, and confirm it is off before you open anything.
  • Replacing the circuit board means opening the power box and transferring wiring from the old board to the new one. None of that should be done on a live appliance.
  • If the sauna has been running, let it cool first.

What the job involves

The procedure runs to six steps. You will be removing the roof panel access to expose the electrical components, opening the gray power box mounted to the roof panel, unbolting the circuit board, transferring the wires one at a time onto the replacement board, and reassembling.

The wires are transferred one at a time so none end up crossed. Keep the white spacers that sit underneath the circuit board, as they go back in when you secure the new board.

It calls for a screwdriver and a reasonable degree of comfort working inside an electrical enclosure.

When to contact us instead
