How do I change the control panel in a Heatwave Sauna?
Disconnect the sauna from its power supply before you start. The full step-by-step procedure is on our blog.
Before you begin
- Disconnect the sauna from its power supply. Switch off the breaker or unplug the unit, and confirm it is off before you open anything.
- Replacing the control panel means opening an electrical enclosure, disconnecting wiring and cutting a wire. None of that should be done on a live appliance.
- If the sauna has been running, let it cool first.
What the job involves
The procedure runs to eight steps. You will be removing the inner control panel from the front wall, disconnecting the white wire connector between the inner and outer panels, cutting the thermostat wire, fitting the replacement panel and reconnecting the wiring.
It calls for a screwdriver and a reasonable degree of comfort working inside an electrical enclosure.
