How do I install a UniBead Liner?
Install Your UniBead Liner as a J-Hook or With a Bead Receiver
Choose Your Installation Method
Choose your attachment method before modifying the liner. Follow the instructions supplied with your pool and liner throughout installation.

Before You Begin
- Confirm that the liner matches your pool’s shape, size, and wall height.
- Prepare the pool floor and cove according to your pool and liner instructions.
- Open the carton without sharp tools, then inspect the liner’s seams and surfaces for holes.
- Center the liner floor and gently smooth it toward the wall. Do not forcefully pull or drag the liner.
Install as a J-Hook Liner
Leave the J-hook intact and hang it over the top of the pool wall. Distribute the liner evenly at several positions before attaching the sections between them. Follow the attachment sequence specified for your pool’s shape.
Install With a Bead Receiver
Before removing the J-hook: Confirm that you are using the beaded method and identify the removal line shown in your liner’s instructions. If you cannot identify it or are unsure which attachment system you have, contact us before cutting.
- Confirm the bead receiver is appropriate for your pool and liner. If you need one, see Liner Track/Bead Receiver.
- Remove the J-hook using the manufacturer’s instructions, keeping the bead and liner body intact.
- Insert the remaining beaded edge into the receiver, distributing the liner evenly around the wall.
Finish the Installation
Check the liner’s centering and smooth floor wrinkles before filling. Follow your manufacturer’s sequence for filling, further adjustments, and installing the skimmer and return fittings.
