Can I use my Hot Tub in the summer?
Lower the temperature or switch the heater off entirely and let the jets do the rest. Most hot tubs run anywhere from 80 to 104 degrees.
There's no reason to let your hot tub sit unused all summer. Hot tubs run on a heater and the temperature is yours to set, with most models running anywhere from 80 to 104 degrees. That leaves a lot of room below whatever you use in winter.
Why cool water still works
Your body sits at 98.6 degrees, so anything below that will feel good against your skin.
Cool water in hot weather is every bit as relaxing as hot water in cool weather. It is the same soak, just at the other end of the dial.
How to bring the temperature down
- Turn the heater down to the temperature you want.
- Or turn the heater off completely. Keeping the jets running will bring the temperature down further.
- Find the temperature that suits you. It may be different depending on whether you get in during the day or in the evening.
Don't let it sit
A hot tub is an expensive investment, and there is no sense in letting it sit unused for a whole season because you assume it is too hot to get in. Set the water somewhere comfortable and enjoy a relaxing summer evening.
